The Full Circle Framework™

Think about the last time you watched a great rider flow down a trail that had you white-knuckling it at the top.

Were they just braver than you? Fitter? More naturally gifted?

Probably not. More likely, they'd built up a balanced, well-rounded skill set - one with no weak spots. No dents or loose spokes.

Here at The Mind Mountain, everything we do is built around one central idea: just like a dependable mountain bike wheel, your skill set needs to be balanced and strong in all areas. With this in mind, we've developed an entire process we call The Full Circle Framework™.

The Mountain Biking Skill Wheel

Whether you're trying to win races, unlock new trails, or simply have more fun on the bike, what you're really chasing is your own version of high performance.

When we look at the performance factors of riding a mountain bike, we can think of them as 4 interconnected parts of the same wheel:

Technical Skills. Mental Strategies. Physical Capacity. Equipment Setup.

When every spoke is tight and the wheel is running true, you get the most out of your riding. Build up all four areas in sync, and you develop a strong, versatile skill set that is unlikely to fail you even in the most demanding situations - when you 'take a bad line' or things don't go quite the way you planned.

What Happens When One Area Gets Neglected?

You get a buckled wheel. A weak spot. Duh!

Sure, you might get away with riding a buckled skill set for a while. But usually only for so long.

You can have the best bike and the most dialled setup in the world, but if your body position is off, you're going to struggle when the going gets tough. The same goes for your ability to regulate your nervous system and implement mental strategies. It doesn't matter how many hill repeats or Strava laps you've logged if your mind and body shut down the moment you sense some pressure, real or perceived.

Just like a buckled wheel might still get you back to the truck... You probably don't want to risk it longer than you have to.

Unlocking Your Riding Potential

With this in mind, we work with riders to make sure there are no gaps - building skills up in appropriate layers, across all four areas.

We all know there are 101 could-do's and semi-helpful tips floating around at any one time. But the key to unlocking your version of high performance is identifying the 1 to 2 SHOULD-DO'S that will actually move the needle for you, right there in each moment.

That's what The Full Circle Framework™ is designed to do. No information overload. No generic advice or mixed-ability chaos.

What we do instead is give you the right focus, at the right moment in your progression, to help you become the rider you know you can be - safely.

When it's done right, Mountain Biking should be nothing less than the most confidence-inspiring and gratifying pursuit you've ever experienced. Let's make sure your skill wheel is built for it.
