This trip is built for strong intermediate to advanced riders who want to ride hard, level up their skills, and experience the full depth of what Kiwi mountain biking culture and terrain have to offer — without having to worry about the logistics.
What Makes This Trip Bucket List Material:
-
Daily riding in some of the most diverse terrain NZ has to offer — from backcountry alpine to bike park laps

-
Integrated coaching from PMBIA Level 3 instructor Jake Johnstone to help you build confidence, control, and consistency - meaning you can ride more of the trails on offer, and have more fun doing it!

-
Logistics and guiding handled by an expert local crew — so you can focus on riding, not planning

-
Pre-screened, like-minded group of riders who are all here for the same reason: solid progression, good trails, and good times

Whether you’re chasing more flow, dialling in line choice, or want to conquer that fear of steeps and tech, this trip is designed to help you ride at your best and get the most out of every day on the trails.
Trip Highlights:
-
Shuttles and uplifts everywhere it makes sense.
-
Bike park days at the iconic Cardrona, Coronet Peak (Rude Rock), and Skyline Queenstown
-
Unique alpine riding at Craigieburn
-
Scenic enduro style loops in Wanaka
-
Statigic rest / travel days with optional local activities.

Coaching Focus: We’ll kick the trip off with coaching-intensive days in the north of the island to build confidence and flow early. As the terrain ramps up through the Southern Alps and Queenstown, you'll already be riding stronger, faster, and with more control — ready for those bigger lines and bike park features.
Jake brings a unique blend of mental strategy, skills coaching, and equipment tuning to every trail day. This means you won’t just ride cool trails — you’ll ride them better, with more confidence and less second-guessing.
